Interesting thing that I have now noticed is that my memory card reader is not picking up in windows explorer. Now I've tried unplugging everything from the USB 3.0 ports and we'll see. I've checked the event logger, and all I can find are entries such as, "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. Third did you check for a BIOS update on the Mobo? Memtest86+ If it was graphic card I installed latest driver I found on the driver only section in ATI's website. Can't find your answer ? I'll do that if the issue returns.

And nope, that was not it, just froze the same way with only 2 sticks in.
Theoretically i3-2100 won't support 1600MHz RAM.Once again, thanks for the backup. It may freeze more frequently when under load due to file searching. Setting them to those settings fixed the issues. Windows 10 Crash Logs I have no idea what the actual file filedisk.sys does - sorry.
Have you installed anything lately? Running a Samsung SM951 256GB AHCI M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 as bootdrive...can this have something to do with it? I once butchered files belonging to FrontPage 2003 and the damn thing kept trying to reinstalling itself and failed because the files it was looking for were somehow placed (by it) check my blog I have a Gigabyte board also.

This can be a issue if your just putting them in 1st and 2nd slots instead of slot 0 and slot 2, then slot 1 and slot 3 for the second If Memtest did 7.5 passes without errors, its not your RAM.

I could be wrong though, the error I had previously advised not to install the full catalyst software as it may cause some of the previous errors.
